With the assistance from the central and local governments, FPG began the Sixth Naphtha Cracker Complex project by creating new land from the ocean in the Mailiao and Haifeng areas of Yulin Offshore Industrial Park. For this project, FPG built the oil refinery that would refine 25 million tons of oil, the naphtha cracker that would produce 2.935 million tons of ethylene, and the related petrochemical factory, heavy machinery factory, cogeneration factory, and Mailiao industrial harbor. In addition, FPG established a base load fossil fuel power plant, which was included into the power supply system of the Taiwan Power Company to help alleviate the problem of power supply shortage in Taiwan.

FPG Main Management Department

The Main Management Department is equipped with a general manager's office, which is a managerial unit in charge of professional management. The other units are responsible for coordinating and managing joint matters and resources for all companies and business units to give full scope to FPG'S overall strengths. The Main Management Department takes charge of promoting management and improvement projects, as well as responsible for devising the company-wide operating framework, planning and promoting digitalization, internal audits, procuring raw materials, capital management, constructions, legal affairs, and public relations.
