The founders of Formosa Plastics Group, Wang Yung-Ching and Wang Yung-Tsai, together with Li Pao-Chu and their families also donated to establish the "Wang Jhan-Yang Social Welfare Foundation," " Ching Pao P.D.Charitable Foundation," and " Wang Chang-Gung Charitable Trust Fund," " Wang Jhan-Yang Charitable Trust Fund " and " Ching Pao Charitable Trust Fund," which engage in various public charitable undertakings.

All charitable trusts and foundations actively cooperate with the government and various non-governmental organizations to deeply understand the needs of society and assist the disadvantaged groups. The care for society extends to all ages, ethnicity groups, and genders. Such compassion for all gives warmth to the entire society, making the disadvantaged to feel cherished and spreading love to all corners of society.

  • Civil Law; a public charitable legal entity

  • A legal entity established through donations with a manager who manages the assets according to the purpose of the donations.

  • The funds used for charitable purposes must not be less than 60% of the accrued interest annually and other incomes.

  • Allowed to hire full-time staff for operations.

  • Charitable Trust

  • Trust Law; not a legal personality

  • The trustor transfers fiduciary to a trustee when turning over his or her assets. The trustee is then responsible for managing and disposing of the assets.

    *The trustee of the three charitable trusts of FPG is Bank of Taiwan.

  • The funds used for charitable purposes must not be less than 50% of the trust's annual expenditure.

  • The entrusted bank is responsible for financial management to reduce the burden of personnel costs.

Full Engagement in Charitable Work

FPG's public charitable projects extend to the elderly, inmates, people with physical and mental disabilities, women, and children. Also, FPG cares for the disadvantaged in local communities and strives to promote unique local cultures, while attaching importance to the development of Taiwan’s sports. FPG endeavors to spread its charitable work to every corner of society.
